Spending life with criminals, considering corrupt priests (Mullah’s) as their leader (Imam), compromising with corrupt bureaucrats and getting played on with the Satanic politics of indecent politicians is slowly becoming a temperament of this community. It is as if the Pakistani community is certain that the state of Pakistan will never change and they and their generations have to live their lives like this only whereas the commands of Allah (s) is different. The instruction of Quran is completely against this kind of thinking. Any secure intelligence is not prepared to accept this illogic. Allah (s) says in the Holy Quran:
إِنَّ اللّهَ لاَ يُغَيِّرُ مَا بِقَوْمٍ حَتَّى يُغَيِّرُواْ مَا بِأَنْفُسِهِمْ
surely Allah does not change the condition of a people until they change their own condition
Maulana Zafar Ali Khan has beautifully translated this heavenly and Quranic formula
خدا نے آج تک اس قوم کی حالت نہیں بدلی
نہ ہو جس کو خیال خود آپ اپنی حالت کے بدلنے کا
Allah till date has not changed the condition of that community
Who is not thinking about changing their own state
Allah (s) has mentioned the states of many communities in the Quran for the sake of guidance to Muslims which are specified with proper evidences about their rise and fall. How this law comes into practice, How communities traverse the stages of rise, how their downfall happens, how communities get dignified and how they become disgraced. The Holy Quran has specified the causes for the rise and fall of communities and also mentioned about the paths and ways for their development and annihilation.
United States and its cronies continue their attempted destabilization of Pakistan fanning sectarian conflicts, Allama Murtaza Zaidi provides important recommendation on how to resist such attempts.
“They are trying to make our country (Pakistan) an Iraq. Today is a day of great happiness, I am a very fortunate mother to whom Allah has given a daughter who has given such a strong slap to America – remember today’s day, today is the beginning of America’s downfall (inshallah, inshallah, chant: the one who is an ally of America is a traitor).
Maybe that judge was thinking we would be grieving in our homes today, that we would cry and faint – tell that judge – that today her mother has become alive! Today all of my illnesses are gone, today my daughter has taken off America’s mask. This America talks about justice? It is thanks to Allah that my daughter has shown the true face of America.
I can understand the Pakistani liberal-elite being either hoodwinked, or enthusiastically supporting native informants such as Perez Hoodbhoy, he is one of them, after all… But what does bother me (although less now than before) is that people like Hoodbhoy are celebrated as “progressives” and “leftists” by North American liberal-left medias such as Z Net that publishes his articles almost on a monthly basis (9 in the year 2009, 8 or 9 in 2008, and so forth…). Part of the problem is the rampant Islamophobia amongst liberal-leftists and, as a result, like their neo-con counterparts, they promote native informants who speak on behalf of their preferred ideology: secularism. Another part of the problem is that, also like their neo-con counterparts, the liberal-left is forever in search of that “good Muslim” who will appeal to their sensibilities, self-determination be damned. Such an attitude on part of the liberal-left media has left “progressives” in North America confused, and paralyzed – in effect playing right into the hands of the neo-conists, and liberal imperialists such as Obama and Obamaists.
In Hoodbhoy’s monochrome vision there are no shades of gray, his worldview is Manichean: You are with us, or you are with the terrorists. Opponents can only be driven by ‘evil’: there are no innocents. Violence is its own explanation, there is rarely a cause. To suggest one is to be an ‘apologist for extremism’. This is no leftist talking, this is Sharon-speak.
While the neo-con-liberal-left alliance engages in all kinds of fantastical tweeter based speculation about Iran; many Muslims, especially Shi’a Muslims, around the world have strong links with the Islamic Republic, and are very much engaged with all the different groups within the country. People such as Allama Ali Murtaza Zaidi not only travel regularly to Iran, but have lived, and studied in the country for years and years. Unfortunately, we see most of the “western” liberal-left succumbing to the most ludicrous nonsense that the anti-Islamic Revolution (so-called) “leftists” are feeding them — and they dismiss other views with hostility.
