Dua Ahl at-Thugur is a prayer recited by Imam Ali ibn al-Husayn, Zayn al-Abedeen (AS) – a prayer to strengthen those in struggle against the enemies of Muslims and Islam.
Please take a few minutes out of your day, and recite this prayer with heart and sincerity.

Ya Allah,
bless Muhammad and his Household,
fortify the frontiers of the Muslims through Thy might,
support their defenders through Thy strength,
and lavish upon them gifts through Thy wealth!
Ya Allah,
bless Muhammad and his Household,
increase their number,
hone their weapons,
guard their territory,
defend their midst,
unite their throng,
arrange their affair,
send them supplies in a steady string,
undertake Thyself to suffice them with provisions,
support them with victory,
help them with patience,
and give them subtlety in guile!
Ya Allah,
bless Muhammad and his Household,
give them the knowledge of that of which they are ignorant,
teach them what they do not know,

The month of Ramadan is one of contemplation, reflection, and working towards cleansing our inner selves. But we should not forget that this month also calls us to become participants in the struggles for justice. Dua Iftitah, recited daily during the month of Ramadan, calls us to remember the oppressed, and to be persistent in our struggles against the tyrants of our times.
Praise be to Allah,
Who gives protection to the frightened;
comes to the help of the upright;
promotes the cause of the weak and the enslaved; annihilates the autocrats;
destroys rulers and appoints the ‘awaited savours’ in their place.
Praise be to Allah,
Who breaks everything belonging to the oppressors;
puts an end to the tyrants;
watches over the fugitives;
brings assistance to those who cry out for help;
meets and clears up the demands of the needy beseechers;
Inshallah, may we use this month to fortify ourselves, and continue our active resistance against the forces of oppression.
And praise belongs to Allah who appointed among those roads His month,
the month of Ramadan,
the month of fasting,
the month of submission,
the month of purity,
the month of putting to test,
the month of standing in prayer,
in which the Qur’an was sent down as guidance to the people,
and as clear signs of the Guidance and the Separator
