In this khutbah, Imam Musa discusses how to implement the best method of enjoining the right and forbidding the wrong, as outlined by the Qur’an and Sunnah. Other topics include: overcoming isolation from the general Muslim community; the fake Islamic threat manufactured and coordinated by international intelligence agencies to give Islam a bad name and justify their continued murder and occupation of Muslim peoples and lands; the importance of withdrawing from oppressors; managing fitnah so as to not be reactionary; and putting oneself through challenging trials in order to grow in faith–faith in Allah (swt) over fear of the U.S. government. (The volume may need to be turned up after about 4 minutes.)

Ikhras was inspired by the Arab and Muslim “activists” and “representatives” that hijacked our identities and name for their own self-aggrandizement and in furtherance of personal ambitions unrelated to our communities’ agenda, interests, and well-being. It was their collaboration that made this project necessary and now Ikhras is here to tell them they do not speak for us. Ikhras adds its voice to those resisting US Imperialism and Zionism with a special focus on exposing, ridiculing and holding accountable House Arabs and House Muslims in the US, to borrow Malcolm X’s expression

Two more videos of the Oakland action
In Oakland, California an Israeli ship was blocked by protesters for the first time in history. 700-1000 protesters blocked three different gates at 5:30 A.M. keeping dockworkers from unloading the Israeli cargo.
ILWU members refused to cross picketline – citing “health & safety” provisions of their contract. Management demanded “instant arbitration.” The arbitrator took a look at the picketlines at each gate to the SSA Terminal and ruled that ILWU members were justified in refusing to cross.
All dockworkers were sent home with FULL PAY.
Special thanks to the Brass Liberation Orchestra for their performances today.

Speaker: Imam Abdul Alim Musa – “The De-Israelization & Re-Africanization of the Islamic Movement in North America”
The Islamic movement in North America has been taken over by the well-intentioned but naïve immigrant Muslim community. With hundreds if cathedral-like Islamic centers and masajid nationwide, the practicing Muslim population in North America is exploding in spite of the Zionist American opposition. Meanwhile, in the African American community, a once-thriving, once-vibrant community is struggling to survive.
In its rush toward integration and acceptance, the immigrant community has left the general Islamic community defenseless against the relentless Zionist American psychological onslaught. In contrast to this current reality, in the past, African American Muslim organizations were in the forefront of the struggle for freedom, liberation, and self-determination, always with a ready word against the evils perpetrated by the Zionists and the U.S. However, the wealthy immigrant community hijacked the Islamic agenda in North America by popularizing (and funding) speakers who would cooperate in their takeover and spread their message of assimilation. These speakers—mostly American, white and black—were paraded around America as experts in da’wah and the subject of “how to become more American while remaining a semi-Muslim.”

First and foremost, we mourn the deaths of the 20 humanitarian aid workers that were spinelessly slaughtered by the terrorist state of Israel. Our hearts and thoughts go out to the families in this terrible time of senseless loss. We also wish a speedy and complete recovery to the up to 80 people who were wounded by the IDF in this abominable attack in International Waters.
We severely condemn, with the very harshest tone imaginable, the murderous attack conducted upon the innocent unarmed humanitarians of the FREE GAZA ‘Freedom Flotilla’ within International Waters.
This act demonstrates the overly sociopathic mentality of the Israeli government in its continuing criminal actions committed upon the Palestinian people and upon those coming to their aid. This act was not simply an international criminal act upon the passengers of the humanitarian ‘Freedom Flotilla’ but was indeed a rabid, viscous and delusional attack on humanity itself.
In conducting an act of this nature Israel has once again demonstrated to the entire world its arrogance in believing it can continue with its predictable path of violent, arrogant and cowardly behavior. Because of Israel’s past-unpunished crimes, it believes it can act with impunity in any form no matter how murderous.
Our response to these terrorist acts must be large and sustained. We people of conscious can no longer sit by idly and watch Israel literally get away with murder, time and time again.
Knowing that the U.S. is criminal Israel’s biggest funder and cheerleader and knowing how futile it is to get the murderous U.S. Government to ever do the humane thing and condemn Israel; however, in a perfect world this is what we seek:
The Obama administration MUST declare Israel’s actions as criminal and must follow through with harsh and long-term penalties. Any other response from the Obama administration will be deemed as being complicit to murder, oppression and terror.
We demand:
1. The immediate expulsion of the Israeli Ambassador from the United States and the withdrawal of the U.S. Ambassador in Tel Aviv.
2. Complete and immediate withholding of any and all funds (including military aid) from the United States to Israel.
3. That the IDF be designated as “terrorists” and Israel as a “terrorist state.”
4. Trials in Nuremburg for Benyamin Nethanyahu and Avigdor Lieberman and the IDF troops that participated in the massacre.
5. The end to the siege of Gaza by Israel.
6. An immediate withdrawal of troops from Iraq and Afghanistan.
From people of conscience we call for:
1. Large and sustained public protests outside every Israeli Embassy/Consulate in the United States (see addresses below)
2. Increased effort of the BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) Movement (http://bdsmovement.net/)
3. Increased efforts to protest the United States’ war crimes in Iraq and Afghanistan.
4. Increased efforts to protest nuclear proliferation, especially by Israel and the U.S., two states that have clearly demonstrated their lack of compassion for innocent peoples.

The Catholic Worker Movement remains one of the most profound peace movements in the United States, based on the idea of a lived Christianity – the movement has, since the 1930s attempted to connect with some of the most disenfranchised people, while fully engaged in social justice struggles. The movement does not have a center as such, but do have a unifying vision as articulated by the founders Dorothy Day and Peter Maurin. There are about 168 Catholic Worker Communities, or Houses of Hospitalities in the United States, each has its own particular flavor, and a population that they serve. Some work with teens, others with those homeless, others with refugees and migrants from Mexico, Central, and South America, and some run soup kitchens. The workers are volunteers (mostly Catholic) who choose to join the community for a period of time ranging from six months to life long commitments.
Below are links to two rare (on video) interviews of one of the founders, Dorothy Day, whose insights remain just as important today, as they were a few decades ago … I think her thoughts are especially relevant and important for the North American anti-religious “left” who are unable to work or connect with the larger US working class population at a deeper level.
