Hu prohibited foods and drinks in it to honour it

Hu clarified its ( Ramadan) excellence over other months by the many sacred things and well-known excellencies which He placed therein, for Hu made unlawful in it what Hu declared lawful in others to magnify it, Hu prohibited foods and drinks in it to honour it, and Hu appointed for it a clear time which Hu (majestic and mighty is Hu) allows not to be set forward and accepts not to be placed behind. (Imam Sajjad (AS) dua # 44)

in whose hearts was disease

…the hypocrites and those in whose hearts was disease were saying, “Their faith has deluded these [believers]!” But he who places his trust in Allah [knows that], verily, Allah is almighty, wise. (Qur’an 8:49)

respond to the call

O you who have attained to faith! Respond to the call of Allah and the Apostle whenever he calls you unto that which will give you life; and know that Allah intervenes between man and his heart, and that unto Him you shall be gathered. (Qur’an 8:24)

strengthen the heart

Hu caused inner calm (nu’as) to enfold you, as an assurance from Hu, and sent down upon you water from the skies, so that Hu might purify you thereby take away from you the pollution of shaytan and strengthen your hearts and thus make firm your steps. (Qur’an 8:11)

those whose hearts tremble

Momineen are only they whose hearts tremble with awe whenever Allah is mentioned, and whose faith is strengthened whenever His messages are conveyed unto them, and who in their Sustainer place their trust. (Qur’an 8:2)

gently

And it was by Allah’s grace that you [O Prophet] did deal gently with your followers: for if you had been harsh and hard of heart, they would indeed have broken away from you. (Qur’an 3:159)

from Allah

Allah did not appoint it but as a good news for you, and to reassure with it your hearts, and victory comes from Allah, the All Mighty, the All Wise. (Qur’an 3:126)
