dua al-ahd

Recite Qur’an for Palestine

Muslims in Palestine have asked everybody to read the 48th chapter of the Quran (Al-Fath) tonight & ask Allah for His help and victory!”

“48:29: MUHAMMAD is Allah’s Apostle; and those who are [truly] with him are firm and unyielding towards all deniers of the truth, [yet] full of mercy towards one another. You can see them bowing down, prostrating themselves [in prayer], seeking favour with Allah and [His] goodly acceptance: their marks are on their faces, traced by prostration.

This is their parable in the Torah as well as their parable in the Gospel: [they are] like a seed that brings forth its shoot, and then He strengthens it, so that it grows stout, and [in the end] stands firm upon its stem, delighting the sowers. [Thus will Allah cause the believers to grow in strength,] so that through them He might confound the deniers of the truth. [But] unto such of them as may [yet] attain to faith and do righteous deeds, Allah has promised forgiveness and a reward supreme.”

Happy Eid Mubarak!

Ya Allah,
bless our prophet Muhammad and his Household,
as You have blessed Your angels brought nigh,
bless him and his Household,
as You have blessed Your prophets sent out,
bless him and his Household,
as You have blessed Your righteous servants
– and better than that, O Lord of the worlds! -
a blessing whose benediction will reach us,
whose benefit will attain to us,
and through which our supplication may be granted!
You are the most generous of those who are beseeched,
the most sufficient of those in whom confidence is had,
the most bestowing of those from whom bounty is asked,
and You are powerful over everything!

Imam Sajjad (AS) dua #45

Ramadan Mubarak!

The Prophet, peace be upon him and his Family, said: “Every year,
when the month of Ramadhan enters, the Garden arrays itself
ornately and beautifies itself.

So when the first night of that month falls, a gentle wind blows from
under the Throne, called al-Mutheerah; and the leaves of the
heavenly trees flap and the door shutters clank, to produce a
melodious tune, the like of which the hearers have never heard.”

(as narrated in Al-Amali ch. 27, h. 3

Dua Ahad

Shi’a Muslims are encouraged to pray for Imam Mahdi (atf) during his absence (occultation). There are a number of supplications pleading to Allah to hasten the return and rise of Imam al-Mahdi (atf).

This plea is for an end to oppression, and for justice. But it is also a deep yearning to be in the company of our Imam (atf). And is ultimately an expression of profound love for Allah, for our Prophet (peace and blessings upon him) and for the Ahlul-Bayt (AS).

Dua Ahd is one of the more well known, and frequently recited supplications. According to hadith attributed to Imam Jafer Sadeq (AS) it should be recited for forty days consecutively, and with Allah’s grace one may be one of the helpers of the 12th Imam (atf).
