O Kumayl, say the truth (haq) in every situation. Cherish the mutaqeen, desert those who have forsaken the path (fasiqeen) , avoid the hypocrites, and dissociate from the traitors. (Imam Ali (AS) Tuhaf Al-Uqoul, trans. Qum, 2004, p.196, #15)
O Kumayl, do not knock the doors of the oppressors to associate with them, nor to earn anything from them. Beware of respecting them, or attending their sessions for Allah’s wrath will befall you. If you have to attend there, you should mention Allah continuously, depend on Him, and seek His guard against them. Turn the head down, deny their deeds secretly, and glorify Allah openly so that you will be supported and saved against their evil. (Imam Ali (AS) Tuhaf Al-Uqoul, trans. Qum, 2004, p.196)

After my passing, you will suffer harsh injustice, oppression, discrimination, a devaluing of the rights of Allah, and fear within you, to the degree that will hope that you were dead.
