Muslim views of the US
It is obvious to see how the countries most impacted by the US war on Islam have the most negative views of the US, but also how countries touted as “west friendly” such as Turkey, also have huge majorities who don’t exactly look on to the US kindly.
Another interesting bit, with regards to specifically Pakistan, was that only 4% have a positive view of US movies, music, and the “spread of US ideas.” It is interesting because the enlightened moderate puppet of Pakistan has lavished support to his liberal supporters in Pakistan, who have flooded the market with US style news magazines, TV shows, bill boards, music etc. All this for only 4% of the population - the figure is not at all surprising, given that this constitutes the super west-toxified elite of the country. The only parallel that one can think off is Iran before the Islamic Revolution - where a tiny minority of the country had attempted to impose a corrupt west-toxic culture on an otherwise traditional Muslim society.
The difference between Iran of 1979 and Pakistan of 2007 is, unfortunately, that the level of revolutionary scholarship remains at a very low level, with most of the intellectuals having abdicated their responsibility, and remain far and distant from the masses (96%) of the country. They are either huddled in academia, praising Harvard dudes , or, are in active collaboration with “enlightened moderation” (i.e. imperialism). However, oppressed peoples do not wait around for ivy leagued type professors to get their act together. The oppressed will, inshallah, in Pakistan, and elsewhere, make their voices heard loud and clear.
