Pakistan seemed to have turned into a state of political crisis in just few days and many are speculating this to be the beginning of the end of Musharraf regime. Musharraf has been a very good boy for America and has worked on to satisfy their interests at the stake of the values of the Muslim nation. In return, he has been granted the permission to be the non-elected leader of a so called democratic nation. But has the time come for Musharraf to descend, or he still has some more Mikaoli cards to play in his atrocious political tenure ? The majority in Pakistan are happy and looking forward to witness the downfall of Musharraf. But a political downfall for such a personality wont become a lesson for his successor. The question in place is not Musharraf. America has already identified many such Generals in the allies of RawalPindi (the cantonment town adjacent to Islamabad) who might do even a better job to start with.
Musharrafs arrogance went to the stage of decoupling of political wisdom out of it. The Mikaoli policy of cunning political games coupled with ferociousness was not worked out well by Musharraf. He was not able to play the balancing game, this is because he is not as shrewd a politician as compared to his dictatorial outlook. In simple words, he is a foolish military man, who has jumped out of Army Barracks into the parliament. He has always aimed to get things resolved by the neck. In this case of Chief Justice Iftikhar Choudhary , political wisdom demanded to not at all confront with the Chief justice in the manner he did. But one of the plans of Allah(s) with arrogant powers like him is that they commit mistakes out of their arrogance.
