On the morning of 10th Muharram, Hurr called his son secretly in his tent and said: We are doomed driven towards hell. There is yet time. The blind, the dumb, and chronically ill everywhere lack protection in towns and no mercy is shown them. But you (the leaders and scholars) neither behave in accordance with your function and rank, nor do you support or pay any regard to those who do.
